Howdy, Yall... lots of new stuff. 1st- i put up one new poem in the poetry section .. 2nd, i got a new picture page up. also i have brand new website up for my new productions company called Equal Eyes Productions. this is the one i did over break (i still have another project to take care of). i also have an online store up for this website to buy shirts and stuff. and lastly, click here to get an (huge)overview of my life the past two months. thanks for stopping by. also, vote for the Bubakar Awards... i was on the nominating committee (which was really small)... read about it in my journal..

i am off in a little bit. first to san antonio, then to austin, then back to corpus, then back to san antonio, then back to austin, then back to corpus...(5 day trip from start to finish) will have seen about 5 bands in two different concerts on 2 different days in austin, see a few new movies at some art house places, and eat some much wanted chips and salsa... big overhaul and will have major update soon about the holidays... hope to see some peeps at the Old 97s show on saturday... also the Breeders are coming to Texas at the end of Janurary and there new album is finally coming out after like 10 years... more on that later.. Happy New Years if i dont tweak this before hand.

so this might be a new week in review thing... keeping it short today. just got back tonight (thursday) from SA... traci and i went to see incubus ...  i got the hook up w/ some tix, and traci took me (meaning i drove her bad ass Rodeo, so i took her, but it was her car). anyway i was in Kingsville last weekend for a show, then had a test Monday, a presentation Wednesday, and i have a paper due today. then i get to go back to SA for the weekend and another show at the White Rabbit... which means i have to drive to SA twice in 24 hours... Incubus put on a really good show. They have been the first band to surprise me in a long time. I thought every song they played was pretty good, and everyone knows i am a huge critic... traci went because the guy is hot or something, but when it was over, she said she liked them as much as me. I love outdoor concerts in the fall... Why am i always so happy this time of year? will add pics this weekend and edit what you are reading with a link (they are so funny)...

back to normal i think. have a test today. the weeks are going to fast. i have been sleeping and going to school and that is about it for a while now. i think i am going to get another sleep study done, since rose says i still snore. i wrote a huge journal about my trip to austin with rose this past week, click here to read it. it took a long time to write, so check it out. anyway, traci and i went to see Zoolander the other night, and i was not impressed. besides for giving away all the good stuff in the massive preview campaign over the last few weeks, ben stiller was not up to par in this film. Where to begin. back in school, and i want it to be over with already. taking it slow this semester because of my surgery that kept me from school stuff a few weeks ago. anyway, i got this album by  Cake awhile back before it was out. i hated it, but through the power of video and the evil media, the song was forced into my head. you know, short skirt, long jacket, which by the way is just a new version of there old song “shut the fuck up”... anyway, yes- too much mtv has made me like the song. i guess it is true what they show on  josie and the pussy cats, which by the way is a really good movie. its funny and tells alot of what the music industry and the media has done to the nation. and the music is done by the girl from letters to cleo  it sort of like ... 'black and white', and natural born killers which are also two really good movies that show the problems with mass media in an interesting way. i also got the new apex theory album, which is kinda hard to find in these parts. it is alright, not what i thought it would be. i bought like 5 movies the other day... the straight story, high fidelity ,  ‘small time crooks,’ love and sex and 'black and white'... high fidelity is not a good movie to watch if you are not in a relationship, but a great movie to watch if you like music and vinyl. john cusack's character in the movie has a real cool and rare pavement poster in his house. also they play and talk about some of my favorite bands, like Belle & Sebastian, stereolab and the beta band... whose record company gave me $500 tickets and some money to go promote them and radiohead when they where on tour this past summer. i even had the chance to go to dinner with them, but passed it up.  they have a new album out that is pretty cool though. anyway, my emails where all lost when my computer crashed, but i think i have alot of them on my palm pilot and can just transfer them over.

SHIT! my laptop crashed from a virus and i had to format or reformat (whichever) my hard drive. lost a lot of my poems, but i have rough versions of them on paper. besides that, nothing much besides for a major update i had been working on for this page. everything else i have on disk, or can do without. oh well... anywho i am going to start to archive my journals since the pics are making them longer. go to the bottom where it says archive to read old ones. or i might make a link after every journal... will have a real journal probably today or tomorrow.

i can speak. not much, but it is getting better. finally went out today, with rose. traci said i shouldn’t. i was feeling like crap on monday. but tuesday morning i felt better. so i did. and i only had to take pain medicine twice all day, instead of every two hours. rose read one of the main medicines i am taking called hydocodine bitrate and acetaminophen elixir (codene) and it says it is “habit forming.” no shit. i was counting the minutes till i could take it again this past week. so the last thing i did before the surgery (a week ago) was go have dinner at water st... and the first thing i did today when i left was to go have diner with rose at water st. i wasn’t able to eat the salad which just went to waste. what a pity. after that rose and i went to see the Counting Crows play at concrete st... why is everything named after streets here? it was a really good show, and a nice way to end a fun summer. adam has such an amazing way with words, he is so underrated. fact: this isnt the first time rose and i went to see counting crows. about nine months ago we went to austin to see them and Live, but the show was rained out. i did get to eat at chuys and won $50 on a scratch off, so i guess it was worth it. anyway, you should have stayed an extra day matt, would have probably been the best show you have ever been to. and better than anything in lubbock. after that we went to this tattoo place to look at the art. even though i am against tattoo’s and piercings, i might get one just to go against something i am against. but then again, i am really against drinking, and would lobby a ban on alcohol, but i still drink. guess i am weird like that. then we went to mulligans for a quick drink. like i said, i do drink sometimes. that place has bad ass drink specials like five nights a week. $1 drinks on this occasion. perfect for a college kid with no job. then we went to Adult video which is open 24 hours a day and has a lot of cool sex toys, but that is a different story. anyway, getting better- thanks for asking.

i just finished writing the most beautiful piece of writing i could ever dream of (it would have made Shakespeare jealous) and my laptop crashed for the 1st time ever. should have saved. maybe i will remember some of it. doubtful though. i am okay. i was feeling great yesterday after the surgery, but then today when i woke up i felt worse. i am feeling fine again. 1000 times better than what the doctor and other people told me i would be feeling. anyway, i am pissed off now, so if you want to read more click here if not, then don’t.

i finished with my last class today. now i have surgery tomorrow, and when i get all better, i start back up for the fall. THAT SUX. i had planned a trip to LA by myself, but i guess i will just have to go on a cruise over christmas break. good news. my parents told my they are going to by me a brand new whatever (car, truck, suv) when i graduate. to bad if i go out of the country (50/50 chance) i am not going to really need it. if you want to know about my surgery read my old diaries somewhere below. not going to bore you now. i will have lost 10 pounds in the next 5 days my doctor said. just a little fact. so i got some new movies. first up is that i finally got a copy of , requiem for a dream on vhs, which they do not sell (yet) and retails for over $100 it is an edited version without all the sex stuff though. Second, i got my first screener on dvd. it is for the movie, steal this movie about abbie hoffman. if you are into political activism like me, you should check it out. it’s a real good movie. a screener is a thousand times better on dvd then vhs. no bullshit fading and color changes. i shouldn’t complain about free stuff, but when you are in the entertainment industry like me, you expect the best. another screener i received is hamlet on vhs. this is the new one w/ julia stiles, bill murray, and ethan hawke.  leslie and i tried to watch it last time i stayed with her, but we fell asleep like 4 times in a row. it is such a fucking awesome movie though. watch it if you can. i was offered to promote zoolander, but i don’t think i am going to have time. have to concentrate on journalism for a while. it should be a rad movie though. anyway, i don;t have time to fly a lot. in music, i downloaded the american pie 2 soundtack,  which it fifty times better than the movie, but really only okay. couple of good songs by a few indie artist. if you want to spend some money on a movie, go watch the the anniversary party, and skip AP2. anyway, i guess i am going to be reading a lot of books for a while and watching movies. people can come over and hangout, i just can’t really leave the house. laters

so let me help some of you out. all of this on the left side is a journal. okay? i write, you read. or not. so most of you people know that i am a writer more than a poet. i do not put any effort however, in the writing in this journal. it is mostly informative that’s all... so it may sound boring. it is more for me than anything. so i can keep track with what i do. this week, i will tell you about what i have been liking in movies and music. first up is basement jaxx, which is a group that includes Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe.  there new album called “rooty” is a truly unique mix of house, funk, disco, electro and salsa with a punk attitude. check it out. i haven't decided yet if i like it more than there last album, but it is a different sound. i also finally after a year, downloaded the power puff girls soundtrack.  it is so fucking rad. it has apples in stereo, dressy bessy, frank black, devo, and a lot of other really cool independent music. another kick ass cd i got that i put off buying for like the last year and a half, is prince paul’s project called handsome boy modeling school.  it was put out by that first record company i worked for a couple of years ago. it is the best thing the label has put put in forever, unless you like everlast. the cd includes Def Tha Funkee Homosapien, Miho Hatori (from cibo mato),Mike D (from beastie boys), Encore, Grand Puba, Sadat X, Roisin (who sounds just like portishead), J-Live, DJ Shadow, DJ Quest, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Sean Lennon, Money Mark, Father Guido Sarducci, Josh Hayden, Paula Frazer, Sensational, DJ Kid Koala, Alec Empire, El-P, and others. another cd i downloaded was the music for the movie, requiem for a dream  which i saw at dobie in austin, like 6 months ago. i think it is the best drug movie ever made. it is based on 1978 novel by literary legend Hubert Selby, Jr.and the website is killer, so click on the name and check it out. it was directed by Darren Aronofsky, the director of the movie Pi.  which for some reason i have recently become obsessed after not seeing it for a few years. i love number theory. that one and another black and white film “Celebrity” by Woody allen.  just something about winona ryder. by the way, dobie is showing a movie called “bully” which i was suppose to promote but didn’t for health reasons. it is by Larry Clark, the director of kids and gumbo. a movie i keep hearing fantastic things about it the movie Made  which is the project from Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn... it is another movie by jon, and is suppose to be a lot like swingers. only showing on about 100 screens across the nation and only at Austin’s Arbor 7 in texas (i think). look for it everywhere sometime soon.

have not updated in a while, except for some pics of me and my neice lydia on this page. just got back from warped tour, and before that austin. have a paper due tomorrow and another final. and a test the next day, and a test the next day. and like a hundred other things since i have been out of town, and have to go out of town again this weekend to promote a independent movie in austin. and get paid some money, yo.
i think form the director that made ‘kids‘. austin was fun this past weekend. i really needed that break from school. met alot of intresting people that are in the MBA program and pricewaterhousecoopers with krishelle... have 4 rolls of film to develop this week, then will finally scan some pics in. anyway. click here to keep reading about how i love music.

quick notes. updated poetry section (again). got rid of the error message on top. added some little things like a bookmark page and such. doesn’t work yet... other news... taking an industrial and organizational psychology class i really like. reminds me of the sociology class i took called “complex organizations (and how the relate to the chaos theory)”... thinking about what to do after i graduate. 80% chance i am leaving the country. right now i am looking into graduate schools in the middle east. i kinda want to get a grad degree in Urban Planning w/ an emphasis on conceptualized religion in middle eastern europe to southwestern asia. i know, with my principles, ideals, morals, why that. i want to focus on third world cultures and how to make things right before they get to industrialized... planning through the promotion and support of local development.

well, i finished my finals yesterday, so i have 3 days before i go back to start the second summer session. i guess this is what i get for taking a semester off to live with leslie a year ago (which means 4 and 1/2 really will take me 4). well, the poetry page now has a table of contents with clickable links on the titles of the poems. that took a while... as for me i am still coughing. its weird that this surgery should correct my allergies that came out of no where a month ago, my new found sleep disorder (that i have had for 5 years, but thought i was just lazy), and this damn cough. and the sleeping problem caused me problems in school and with my relationships with everyone, and all the weight i have gained since i was 18. i never did understand why i was so involved in everything and was outgoing, and then all i wanted to do was sleep for like 5 years now. i am glad the doctor finally found this cancer that has been eating my throat... well, i should be in the hospital/bed from 7-10 days in august. i will not be myself for about 3 months the doctor said, and my vocals (voice) will have a major change for the rest of my life. i talked to someone who had been through this at my age (and is now like 45) and he said, i am going to go through hell. anyway *cough* *cough*. i will make some more updates ASAP.

to look like the rest of the website page (2) i did not add any pictures, but i am going to take some out and delete some of the words when i have time. i added the poetry page the other day also... the contact button on the right now works, so fill in the info on what you think of my page, press send, and i will get a groovy email from you. happy birthday amanda (22) and laura (21). i had a blast last night at applebee's where i forgot my wallet, the cabaret (guys only), yucatan (formely stetson's) where amanda puked in the car, and at hector's where i saw alot more than i thought i was at the pool. which reminds me, my pager is broke, so don't page me peeps. i got film for my cool camera, so i am going to start taking crazy triple exposed pics. sux today, cause i have a project and 2 finals tomorrow. anyways. have lote more changes to the website coming up. peace out, yo.

SO this is only temp. i got a lot of bugs to fix. the first one is this blogger
or block log, that lets me put up whatever i am thinking. whenever. i am using one i made up, and i got to put a real one i have from another page up. then i need fill in the pictures and linx with what should really be there. i have to rename stuff, and take out some pics that should be destroyed... i have to add some other pages too. i am open to suggestion... as for me, i am in summer school, taking way-to-many hours so i can graduate before i turn 40. i am single again after a few years, and living in corpus (for the moment)... still the same person i have always been... i have not used html in a while, so i had to re-teach my self. it is way easy to work off of my laptop. i can even edit when i am flying... nothing else much going on with me. still no job after 22 years... saw radiohead a few weeks back in houston. ran into jared there. still doing the poetry shit as some of you know, and will try to make a page with some of it on it. i also have a 3rd link for pics that i can get up as soon as i scan some. i bought a new medium format (twins lens relflex) camera from russia, and am learning how to use it. that is the camera the girl used in “the beach” if you can remember. film is too expensive since it is a professional antique camera. still spinning records... trying to get a new guitar. still working with record companies free cd‘s, tickets (and getting backstage, yo.)... looking for wither a good graduate school, or another country to move to when i finish school in the next 3-9 months. anyway, i will be adding and subtracting tons of cock in the next few days.
